Advantages
The cryostat is good for sectioning cryoprotected frozen in O.C.T. compound tissue.
Description
Tissue sections can be cut at 10 - 50 μm. The temperature can be set at -15 to -27 0C. The cryostat uses disposable high profile cryostat blades (Leica 818 high profile microtome blades, Accu-Edge microtome blades).
After an individual training session, researchers are given access to the instrument. Assistance with tissue preparation, cryoprotection, and cutting is available during normal business hours.
