In vivo Peroxide Manipulation in DRG and Cortical Neurons: Redox Control of Degeneration and Regeneration in Peripheral Neuropathy and Stroke

The major goals of this project are to develop an understanding of what are the key regulators of the redox status of the axon; specifically, how oxidants act spatially, temporally and quantitatively in neurons as second messengers or as toxins in mediating axonal degeneration and regeneration.
