Cristina Falo, Ph.D.

Dr. Falo has joined BNI from Columbia where she first worked in the Department of Neurology, Division of Neurocritical Care. She identified that enhancing subject recruitment and ensuring subject retainment, while remaining cost-effective, would be critical to the completion and success of a clinical trial. She therefore created and implemented a plan for the NINDS-funded Neurological Emergency Treatment Trials that, due to its success, was subsequently adopted by numerous other trials at Columbia and other collaborating sites. In her most recent position as Director of the Transplant Clinical Research Center she was tasked with overseeing 100+ clinical trials all from a variety of sponsors: NIH, industry, foundation, internal & unfunded. She will apply this knowledge and experience to developing and executing novel clinical trials structures at Burke Neurological Institute and overseeing the NeuroCuresNY initiative.
