Ali Doruk

Ali Doruk has several years of experience in international business development gained from working as a member of top management at headquarters and as General Manager, Legal Representative, of Turkish Airlines in different Countries.

Ali’s extensive international and high level negotiation experience with diplomatic and leadership skills have been achieved during his five years in the International and Commercial Agreements Management of Turkish Airlines, an airline which flies to more countries than any other airline in the world. He participates in bilateral, multilateral, air transport negotiations at governments level representing the company, delegate of Turkish Airlines to the aero-political committee of AEA European Airlines Association, relations with IATA and NON IATA Airlines, institutional relations in particular with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Ali also negotiations for the opening of new routes in different countries, managing revenue sharing, code share agreements with other airlines while evaluating business opportunities and alliances.

As the Head of Product and Inflight services, Ali has successfully developed strategies to increase the product and services quality while decreasing the costs. He managed a yearly budget over 300 m USD in purchasing in order to deliver the best customer services. For the last five  consecutive years, Turkish Airlines has been awarded as the Best European Airline.

Over 15 years of field experience in four different countries Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain, Ali represented the company in order to create significant value, achieving higher market shares           delivering high quality services to B2B and B2C customers, doing the utmost in order to provide smooth and uninterrupted operation, opened new routes, guided market research activities while evaluating continuously the markets in order to be competitive. He managed public relations, advertisement campaigns, kept excellent relations with local and international authorities.

In 2010, Ali was awarded with the order of merit "Cavaliere dell' Ordine della Stella della Solidarieta Italiana" by the President of The Republic of Italy Giorgio Napolitano for the contribution in developing the relations between Italy and Turkey.

With over 30 years in key positions in a very challenging and multicultural environment, Ali has accomplishments in both business and personal life.
