Mike has over 44 years of experience within General Electric (GE) including positions as U.S. Pension Trustee, Oversight of Global Pension Plans, and Leader of Mutual Funds and Asset Management (with assets over $140 billion). While at GE, he also had responsibility for Risk Management, Asset Allocation, Manager Selection, Finance, Sales and General Management. In addition Mike had finance and sales roles in GE’s International Industrial business including Power Generation, Aircraft Engines, Aerospace, Medical and Transportation. He created GE Trading Company and became the first CFO and eventually the leader of the business with oversight for GE’s Countertrade and Barter Operations worldwide.
Mike graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelors in Science (BS) degree in Economics and received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from St. John’s University. Mike holds a board position at Neuberger Berman Open and Closed End Funds, where he is the Chair of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the board of America Media as the Chairman of the Investment Committee. Mike is a former Trustee of Fordham University; he served as the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, the Chair of the Facilities Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. In the past, he was the Treasurer of GE Foundation and Treasurer and a Director of the Skin Cancer Foundation. Mike also served on the Board of Governors for the Investment Company Institute. Mike Currently serves on the council of Saint Pius X Church in Scarsdale, NY.
Born and raised in Queens, Mike is a diehard Yankees fan and faithful college basketball fan (with a long history of playing, coaching, and refereeing). He and his wife Pat have two children and six grandchildren. When not on the golf course, Mike can be found on the beach with family and dogs.
