Bharat Wakhlu

A Transformational Thought-Leader, Futurist, an Innovative Strategist, a Leadership Coach and a sought-after International Keynote Speaker and Author, Bharat has transformed, and continues to energize enterprises, while creatively helping solve tough corporate and societal problems. He also invests in, and advises start-ups with innovative and sustainability-oriented value-propositions. He is a collaborative, open and assertive communicator, who has mentored and coached hundreds of senior leaders throughout much of his career, and continues to guide influential leaders, enabling them to reach their full potential and contribute to a wholesome world. He is cross-culturally sensitive and engaging; and is a technologically perceptive facilitator of beneficial change, innovation and continuous improvement.

Prior to his present Advisory, Mentoring, Speaking and Consulting roles, he spent more than thirty years working as an Intrapreneur and business leader within the Tata Group’s vast eco-system in ndia and abroad, after having been inducted into their prestigious leadership-cadre, the Tata Administrative Service. He held senior operating and Board level positions within Tata Steel and Tata Sons in India, and was the President of Tata Inc. - the North American holding company of Tata - based out of New York, NY.

From October 2014, he served with the US helicopter company, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (now a Lockheed Martin company) in Stratford, CT. as their Managing Director for India. Bharat has first-hand experience dealing with the aftermath of mergers and acquisitions and has been directly involved with a number of business amalgamations. Since starting his advisory firm in 2017, he has served and advised a number of reputed organizations from India and Europe.

He is the author of four books - covering Total Quality, Ethics and Values, a novel, Close Call in Kashmir, and, his recent work (co-authored with his wife, Savita) entitled, “Navigating the Maze – Simple, Smarter Strategies to Fast-track Success”.

A Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and of the All India Management Association, he served till recently as the Chairman of the Board of ASQ South Asia, and a Board Member of AFS, India. He is the co-founder with his brother, of the Foundation for Peace and Compassionate Leadership, a not-for-profit company aimed at cultivating the leadership values and societal initiatives that yield lasting peace and prosperity for all. He is also the Founder of Resilient Leadership and Change Masters, LLP.

Bharat’s personal credo is to inspire leaders globally - representing all walks of life - to use their creative intelligence, authority and resources to bring about a wholesome transformation of the world, so as to enhance health, happiness, and the well-being of all. Bharat is fluent in six languages.
