Job Description

My lab is interested in hiring inquisitive, passionate scientists who love the intellectual and technical aspects of scientific discovery and enjoy working as part of a team. We are interested in transcriptional and epigenetic survival and repair mechanisms. We use in vitro and in vivo models of stroke and Alzheimer’s disease and have studied ferroptotic death for more than 30 years.

Responsibilities

Run 1-3 scientific projects focused on transforming neurological disease understanding; present internally and externally in written and spoken formats; write reviews, manuscripts with an opportunity to write grants; interested in independence in industry and academia.

Qualifications

  1. Ph.D. in Biological Sciences
  2. Background in in vitro/in vivo models of acute or chronic brain injury
  3. Excellent Writing/Presentation Skills
  4. Desire to run independent lab/group in industry and academia

Compensation

Salary Range: $56,484 to $63,852 salaried exempt position (NIH NRSA scale); based on years of postdoctoral experience
