Heather P. Lane and Talita Campos were invited to present at Mamaroneck Elementary School last week to discuss what it is like to work as a scientist at the Burke Neurological Institute.

Heather shared how is applying her Occupational Therapy degree paired with research and robotic therapy.

Talita asked the students what they know about stroke and CerebralPalsy. Their answers blew her away! She related CP to Nemo and his special fin from Pixar movie, Finding Nemo. Then Tali showed pictures of clinical trials using robotics, MRIs, and intensive hand therapies and how they can be applied together. She highlighted how scientists can accomplish anything they set their minds too! They have to "just keep swimming".
