Cerebral Palsy Summer Camp 2019

Friel Lab at the Burke Neurological Institute together with the Center for Cerebral Palsy Research at Teachers College, Columbia University (TC), held a summer day camp that incorporates Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and intensive Bimanual Therapy for children with hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy. The research team is trying to understand how the young brain responds to intensive movement training paired with brain stimulation, with the hope that they can develop new treatments based on what they learn from their outstanding camp participants. Thank you to all those who worked hard and played in Summer Camp 2019!
