Building a Strong Philanthropic Foundation

The Burke Neurological Institute Advancement Council (BNIAC) was established to advance the mission of the Burke Neurological Institute. The primary role of the Council is to increase philanthropic resources by amplifying awareness and recruiting new council members to build a strong philanthropic foundation. Members of the BNIAC are visionary, successful leaders in both their community and the business world. We are honored that our council members are helping us to advance the Institute’s visibility, enabling patients and families to have a better chance of knowing where to go when they have exhausted all that medicine currently offers.

The council meets quarterly and members have a unique opportunity to learn about the latest research and clinical trials in stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease to name just a few. Council members see first-hand how biology and technology are paired together to re-boot the brain and retrain the body. By repairing the nervous system, we reduce impairments that severely impact the quality of life for patients and families.
