We invited medical professionals, therapists and students with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to Rehabilitation Robotics Conference 2017, a three day event exploring updates, innovation and research surrounding robotics for neurorehabilitation. The conference was held at the stunning campus of Burke Medical Research Institute and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.
Rehabilitation Robotics is increasingly being recognized as a treatment option to augment and optimize outcomes for patients with neurological impairments. Despite recent advances in robotic technology and the evidence supporting rehabilitation robotics, many clinicians have limited understanding and access to these technologies. Neuro-rehabilitation specialists, therapists, and the patients they care for may benefit from a better understanding of the applications, integration and adoption of rehabilitation robotics in the clinical environment.
