BNI Welcomes Dr. Edmund Au

Dr. Edmund Au joins Burke Neurological Institute from Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, bringing with him a strong foundation in both neuroscience research and cellular biology.

 Dr. Au brings exceptional expertise in interneuron systems research and will be assisting our research efforts to develop a bona fide systems neuroscience program in the Center for Cognitive and Motor Recovery, leveraging new and evolving tools he has developed for understanding interneuron synaptogenesis.
