Former Clinical Research/Rehabilitation Assistant
Brain Stimulation and Robotics Laboratory
Burke Neurological Institute

Biography

I received my Bachelors in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University in 2013. After receiving my degree, I worked as a trainer at a local YMCA for three years, and then I came to Burke Rehabilitation Hospital as a rehabilitation aide in May 2016.

Along with my rehabilitation aide duties, I have worked on clinical research studies that involve lower extremity motor recovery in people with chronic spinal cord injury. In those studies, I have been evolved in robotic-assisted rehabilitation devices such as the EKSO exoskeleton and the Walkbot.

From there I transitioned into my current position as a Research/Rehabilitation Assistant in the Human Spinal Cord Injury Repair Laboratory.

Research Interest

My main interest is to study the kinematics of the human body and the mechanisms of motor recovery after a neurological disorder, by using non-invasive brain stimulation and robotic training.
