Burke Neurological Institute is an academic affiliate Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University. The scientific efforts at Burke Neurological Institute are complemented by remarkable infrastructures that exist in Ithaca at the Cornell University undergraduate campus and downtown in Manhattan at Weill Cornell Medicine Medical College. Each Burke faculty member is sanctioned by appointment committees at our Ivy League affiliate, Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University.

Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute

Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) has established the Brain and Mind Research Institute (BMRI), a basic science entity with departmental privileges, the Institute provides a home for basic and clinical research focused on the brain and its diseases. Several Burke faculty members are appointed faculty of Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute.

With more than 120 years of experience, Blythedale Children's Hosptial is a nationally recognized leader in developing innovative, multidisciplinary inpatient programs. As one of only 19 pediatric specialty hospitals in the United States, Blythedale has the combined staff, expertise and resources – including the largest pediatric therapy department in New York State – to provide exceptional comprehensive care for medically complex children and support for their families. Burke Neurological Institute has partnered with Blythedale to advance basic neuroscience into improved treatments for children with neurological impairments by establishing the Burke-Blythedale Pediatric Neuroscience Research Collaboration.

Center for Cerebral Palsy Research at Teachers College, Columbia University

The Center for Cerebral Palsy Research is a non-profit organization located at Teachers College, Columbia University, a leading institution of Education, Health and Psychology. The Center is committed to improving the lives of children with cerebral palsy through research. These include both speech and motor disorders associated with cerebral palsy. Burke Neurological Institute partners with the Center for Cerebral Palsy Research in clinical trials and clinics to advance motor recovery therapies for cerebral palsy.
